TITLE: MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER

REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL

Primary Purpose:

The American Baccalaureate School (ABS) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Middle/High School Science Teacher for an immediate start. The teacher will inspire students in grades 6–12 through engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and a strong college-preparatory curriculum.

• Teach science courses across grades 6–12.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with ABS curriculum and learning objectives.
• Foster curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking in the classroom.
• Differentiate instruction to support students of varying abilities.
• Design and assess labs, projects, and assignments with timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate student progress records and communicate regularly with parents.
• Ensure safe use of laboratory equipment and conduct risk assessments for experiments.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field (Master’s preferred).

IMMEDIATE HIRE - We are seeking a successful Science Teacher in the Secondary School who should be able to teach Science up to KS5. Practical resources are plentiful, and expectations are high for achievement for all students. Building and maintaining positive relationships is an essential part of maximising student progress. Our school follows the English national curriculum to IGCSE and IAL, accredited by Cambridge and Pearson examination boards.

• A relevant bachelor’s degree.
• PGCE or PGDE and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• KS5 teaching experience is advantageous.
