Job Description
- Maintain and upgrade AV, troubleshoots, repairs, and/or coordinate repair of AV, and make recommendations for equipment purchase, system design, and facility utilization.
- Plan and prepare technology for conducting and recording interviews, events, and performances.
- De-install exhibits, removing artefacts, salvaging, and stowing re-usable materials and equipment.
- Perform exhibition space maintenance, daily operations, and organization in all areas of the discovery centre.
- Follow safety rules, safe work practices, and uses safety equipment.
- Document and manage AV inventory of equipment, supplies, and materials on an ongoing basis.
- Assist other departments in installing and striking both long-term and short-term exhibitions.
- Assist with specific other events, whenever required.
- Provide training and instruction to staff, and others, working on Audio/Visual projects as part of initiatives and partnerships.
- Answer inquiries concerning the use of A/V including: microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, monitors, connecting wires and cables, and lighting.
- Work with AV equipment companies, as needed.
- Work collaboratively with all staff and maintain effective communication regarding the needs, upkeep, and ongoing maintenance of the museums
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
- Train users that may have limited audio/visual experience.
- Work weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary.
- Work independently, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands, and seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
- Organize work processes and select work methods and procedures; set goals, monitor progress, and multi-task.
- Communicate clearly in written and oral exchanges.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in museums, theme parks, theater work or related field.
- One year experience using Microsoft Suite software, Internet navigation and research, required.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g. science, design, computer technology, audio/video engineering, film arts and sciences) preferred.
- One year experience working with computer-operated media systems and experience working with planetarium equipment preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, squat and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- The employee must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds, ascend and descend ladders, operate heavy and light equipment as described above. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to noisy. May be exposed to heights, bright lighting, and enclosed areas and related temperatures.
Pay: KD500.000 - KD600.000 per month

The IT System Administrator & Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing our IT systems, networks, and servers while providing technical support to end-users. Key Responsibilities
- System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure (Windows environments).

- Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, and data backup systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.

- Technical Support:
