Our Middle East Assurance practice includes over 2,300 people based in 12 countries across the region and is part of PwC’s global network that isoperatingworldwide. PwC Middle East’s Assurance practice combines the right mix of human-led and tech powered solutions to provide our clients with quality audits and other risk services that create confidence and impact in our region and across society.
What is expected from you?
As an Audit Associate, you will be reporting to Seniors and above, working as part of a team that helps the clients building trust and solving complex challenges. Your job duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Executing External Audits and statutory reporting fordifferent typesof clients
- Taking accountability for researching and understanding key facts on the client’s industry information before the engagement begins
- Analysing engagement economics of self and field staff and explaining variances from the budgets
- Working with teams to collaborate and execute the Financial Audit strategies and methodologies for our clients(Analysing the client’s environment, assessing the risks and the internal control framework, auditing the financial statements, drafting recommendations and specific reports)
- Analysing and documenting internal controls and control environment
- Working closely with the Senior Associates and above on the engagementidentifyingpotential risk areas
- Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues
- Ensuring you are adhering to compliance with the risk,qualityand independence matters
- Working on developing internal and external relationships and ensuring reflecting PwC values on yourday to daywork when working in diverse teams
- Contributing to the development of your own technical and global acumen
- Taking part in the digital initiatives and upskilling areas which aligns most with your team’s business needs
What will you bring?

- A degree in accounting,financeor any other related academic major
- Completed or pursuing a professional qualification, such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA (preferably)
- Professional experience of at least 1-3 years in external financial audit preferably in one of the big4professional services firm
- Experience working withbig 4 industries/clientsis considered an asset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment
- Bilingualproficiencyin Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus
- Business development and client relationship building skills
- Willingness to challenge the ‘norms’and tocreate a cohesive and effective working team
- Excellent project management skills
- Knowledge in any Audit technologies, and experience using Data Analytics tools is a plus

Internal Audit Manager manages the activities of the audit staff, plan and execute audits in accordance with accepted standards, report audit findings, make recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions and perform special reviews at the request of the management.
**Responsibilities**:
**Strategic**:
1. Prepare annual plans and budgets to meet the Internal Audit function strategic objectives.
2. Monitor implementation of the annual plans and measure achievements of results against budgets and objectives and take corrective measures as appropriate.
3. Recommend annual strategy in areas of Internal Audit and Operational Audits.
**Operational**:
1. Assist in the preparation of the overall internal audit strategic plan.
2. Ensure execution of the Al-Sayer Group Internal Audit plan as per statutory compliances and budget adherences and professional standards.
3. Review and discuss the audit plan, programs, and deliverables of the audit project.
4. Conduct risk assessment and identify risks and controls for business processes.
5. Survey functions and activities in assigned areas to determine nature of operations as well as adequacy of system and to adjust audit programs as needed.
6. Monitor the audit assignments to be conducted in compliance with acceptable standards, plans, budgets and schedules.
7. Prepare detailed quarterly audit plans of audit projects and allocate staff and hours required based on the overall annual audit plan.
8. Discuss preliminary audit observations with subordinates, superiors and make necessary changes as needed.
9. Review the operational management of the audited division on preliminary audit findings and their impact and the practicability of recommendations to counter deficiencies.
10. Review data analysis and evidentiary documents for relevancy and sufficiency.
11. Prepare/perform oral and written presentations to management during and at the end of examination, discuss deficiencies and recommend corrective action to improve operations and reduce costs.
12. Participate in the audit review meetings with senior management and concerned parties related to regular audits and prepare review reports and action plans.
13. Prepare formal written reports expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out.
14. Evaluate the adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions.
**People Management**:
1. Identify, set and agree on KPIs and objectives.
2. Prepare performance planning (PP), conduct performance appraisal (PA) and PP/PA interviews including employee development plans and counsel employees on career progression opportunities and approve training requests.
3. Recommend employee promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions and approve vacation and overtime.
4. Identify staffing needs, participate in interviewing panels and take hiring decisions.
5. Maintain and promote staff motivation by addressing employee grievances promptly and escalating when necessary and enforcing fair and equitable compliance with Group policies and procedures.
6. Ensure increasing levels of employee satisfaction and improve the efficiency of manpower.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Educational Qualifications and Experience**:Post Graduate Diploma/ Masters in Accountancy/Finance with 14 years of experience or Bachelor Degree in Commerce/ Accounting with 17 years of experience.
**Linguistic Abilities**:English is a must. Arabic is preferable.
**Certification and Licensure**:CPA /CIA/CMA/ACCA.
