Quality Assurance SpecialistEssential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ensures effective implementation of ISO 9001:2015 QMS and Quality Control Plan.
- Acts as point of contact with customer quality surveillance entities to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are being achieved.
- Assists with continual process improvement initiatives.
- Monitors customer complaints and works to ensure that effective corrective actions plans are developed and implemented.
- Implements performance metric analysis and status reporting process.
- Conducts quality self-assessments using Amentum project quality assessment guidelines.
- Conducts Quality related training as required (i.e., ISO awareness, root cause analysis, corrective action, process improvement)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Quality Specialist, or equivalent, role.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Possess quality management system knowledge in accordance with applicable industry and current ISO 9001 quality standard requirements.
- Possess the ability to analyze, evaluate, and recommend improvements in quality system processes (use of Lean / Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies preferred).
- Capable of developing management level presentations and reports.
- Requires a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
- Effectively plan and organize assigned work with a focus on matters of significance.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Work independently with mínimal supervision.

Certification, License & Clearance:

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance within 60 days and prior to deployment required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:

- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
