Job Description
An exciting new chapter is beginning at The English School, Kuwait - a school built on over 70 years of tradition, excellence and success.
This exciting role offers the chance to make an immediate impact as we grow our secondary provision and launch our Key Stage 4 curriculum.
With our continued growth into Upper School, this role presents a unique opportunity for a passionate and skilled educator to inspire a love of Music across a diverse and motivated student body.
We are looking for someone who will ignite a passion for music in our students, elevate the quality of our ensembles and performances, and continue building a music program that enriches both our school and the broader community.
The Head of Music will have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning, a passion for music and a sound knowledge of the music curriculum. They should have good interpersonal and communication skills in order to be able to continue to raise standards in their subject area, including leading those who teach music out of specialism.
The successful applicant will join our team for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.
Whether you’re considering your first overseas role or bring a wealth of international experience, Kuwait offers an opportunity that could positively shape your life forever.
There’s something special about working at TES, and Kuwait’s unique charm only adds to the experience, making it a place you’ll find hard to leave.
Important consideration for female applicants: please note that currently, women are not permitted to sponsor dependents in Kuwait. This means you would not be able to sponsor a husband or children for residency in Kuwait. Conversely, a husband could explore employment opportunities in Kuwait and, if successful, obtain his own residency and then sponsor children.
Safeguarding and welfare: The English School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. As per our Safer Recruitment Policy, applicants must be prepared to undergo stringent child protection screening, including checks with past employers and criminal records checks.
