Role Summary
Responsible for managing account payables general ledger & trial balance, reconciliation, and month end closing.
What’s On Your Plate?
Review and oversee the work of AP accountants which includes entering invoices and verifying proper authorization and supporting documents.
Ensure month-end closing to include reconciling account payables trial balance in order to ensure correctness and accuracy.
Support in the consolidation of monthly / financial year closing and assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual report using IFRS standards.
Prepare and review all account payables financial reports and data in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain AP general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations related to AP.
Ensure transactions posted to GL comply with IFRS standards.
Prepare analysis and reports requested by management
What Did We Order?
Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting or any other related field
Professional certification (CMA, CPA, CA) is preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Accounting & Finance

Fluent in both languages Arabic and English

Our client is a global MNC with its corporate HQ based in Kuwait. With operations spanning both the Middle East and Europe, they are currently seeking an internationally minded professional to take responsibility for their Group Financial Reporting.
The role will report to the Group CFO and be responsible for consolidating financial statements, periodical financial reporting, supervising the function in Kuwait, and remotely overseeing the function in international locations. This is a senior position that involves managing relationships at a corporate level as well as leading a team of capable and technically skilled finance staff.
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant with 8-10 years of PQE
- Strong technical experience in IFRS, Statutory Reporting, and Consolidations
- Ideally experience in F&B, FMCG, or Retail sectors
- Must be currently based in either the GCC or UK. Candidates outside these locations will NOT be shortlisted
