To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 1 year of relevant work experience. You should have strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and be able to use CAD software fluently. In addition, you should have excellent problem solving skills and highly developed communication skills (oral & written).

Job Summary

Execution of maintenance activities in the plant during the shift in line with the departmental goals / requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Overview

•Review the ‘Shift handing over’ with prior shift engineer to know the status of job tickets running /completed /balance in maintenance.

•Take the physical attendance of the workmen.

•Conduct Tool box meeting at the start of each shift as per the Guidelines of ‘Tool Box Meetings’

•Allocate the job assignments to the peers working under him & issue the related Work Order details / documents & explain any criticalities involved.

•Physically meet the Production Shift In charge for further clarity on priorities for production related breakdown urgencies.

•Ensure that all breakdown Notifications are attended immediately & there is no stoppage to Production activities.

•Prepare and conduct ‘Routine Inspection’ of the Machines, Equipments & Utilities.

•Execute ‘Preventative Maintenance’ (PM) as per the pre defined & approved PM schedule.

•Assist the Production Engineers to ensure that ‘Autonomous Maintenance’ is being followed at all work stations.

•Pl ensure that Data entry & Notification documentation is viewed & maintained on a hourly basis in SAP.

•Ensure that the required ‘Machine Breakdown’ data is also recorded & handed over in work station ‘Log books’.

•Hourly basis routine checks / monitoring of Machines / machinery are carried out as per the Maintenance schedules.

•Ensure that all employees working under him use the required PPEs & adhere to all safety rules / practices of the Co.

•Ensure that the maintenance activities are at the required speed and Quality levels as per the Company standards.

•Seek all required support from Superiors to achieve the required targets.

•Check & validate, the individual breakdown Completion reports submitted by workmen.

•Ensure that SAP notifications are received for thebreakdowns of all the critical machines ( Machines which affect the production flow on break down )

•Prepare a consolidated shift wise Work completion Report & report to the Maintenance Manager / HOD.

•Ensure Participation & play a support Role in team efforts for 5S & EHS initiatives.

•Ensure that immediate reporting of any kind of ‘Near Miss’ / ‘First Aid’ cases / ‘Safety Incidents’ to the Safety officer & concerned Superiors is done.

Knowledge :

•Conversant with Engineering and schematic drawings, Good technical Skills relevant to hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic trouble shooting.

•Basic / working knowledge of PLC , CNC, DRIVES , Hydraulic and pneumatic components.

•Knowledge of Computers like MS office.

•Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferable.

•Conversant with operation and hands on experience in repair processes of FCAW, SMAW, SAW machines.

•Basic knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques & at par knowledge in Operational Excellence methodology.

•‘White Belt certification’ in Six sigma is a MUST.

•Well conversant with use of Production Tools, jigs and fixtures and its setting procedures.

•Working exp in SAP Environment is advantageous.

•Working exposure with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 are preferable.

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum of 8 years total experience and minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role in oil and gas major projects
- Minimum 5 years total post-graduation experience
- Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience in major oil and gas projects
- A proven track record and demonstrable success in the management of HSE in major projects.

**Technical and Industry Experience**
- Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- A good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of piping engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- A good working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
- Competent use of piping engineering specific software and relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Engineering experience in the same or similar industry, and developing leadership skills.
- Some job site or factory experience.

**Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training**

**Required**:
A recognized degree in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent is must.(Mechanical)

**Preferred**:
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.

Leads and mentors a design group and is responsible for large scale projects from bidding to delivery.
Reporting directly to the Discipline Lead, this team member contributes to the development of the company by supporting the Directors in the progressive evolution of SSH’s design philosophy, research activities and technical development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Discipline Lead with operational responsibilities.
• Contribute to preparation of bids.
• Lead the design team throughout the design stages.
• Responsible for key design input at early design phases and for general design leadership during the course of the project.
• Contribute from the onset of a project, to the design of innovative and progressive design solutions that reconcile SSH and client’s goals and priorities while fostering opportunities for design excellence.
• Make appropriate value judgements with respect to corrective work that supports the design concept and performance goals of the project.
• To perform and direct material and building systems research and participate in the coordination and preparation of project specifications.
• Set an example of leadership among team leaders.
• Participate in marketing and business development.
• Act as the client’s point of contact for design related issues.
• Act as the project’s design coordinator and contributes (fully or partially) to the overall design management activities.
• Conduct performance evaluation reviews to subordinate (junior) team members.
• Take initiatives to develop design manuals, standard design documents, presentations, etc. to increase efficiencies, knowledge and awareness across the wider engineering community.

• Ability and will to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the wider architectural community.
• Ability and will to update knowledge.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken). Knowledge of other languages is an added value.

Degree and or Masters in Mechanical Engineering
Professional registration of an internationally recognised institution i.e CIBSE, ASHRAE is highly desirable and a distinct advantage
