TITLE: MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER
REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL
Primary Purpose:
The Teacher of Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, through planning engaging lessons to enable all pupils to make the best possible progress.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain and stimulate pupils’ curiosity, interest, and enjoyment in Mathematics
- Enable all pupils to have equal access to Mathematics and to experience success in their work
- Develop pupils’ familiarity, competence, and confidence with appropriate Mathematical concepts, principles, methods, and vocabulary
- Provide challenge for every pupil and to encourage all pupils to achieve their potential in Mathematics
- Develop pupils’ understanding and applications of Mathematics in its wider context
- Share in departmental best practice
- Willingness to invest extra time to ensure students achieve the best standard
- Willingness to help out with departmental responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive lessons to assigned classes.
- Be prepared to innovate and devise imaginatively varied ways of teaching their subjects to inspire pupils.
- Encourage pupils and show enthusiasm for their subject in the classroom.
- Mark work according to departmental and School marking policies, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of pupils’ progress in their subject.
- Demonstrate an awareness of Assessment for Learning strategies and personalize the learning of all pupils, as appropriate.
- Select and use a range of different learning resources and teaching styles, appropriate to the subject and topic.
- Participate in mutual lesson observations both within and beyond their department as a part of sharing best practices.
- Use teaching strategies that allow for the full range of ability and learning styles in each class, particularly taking into account the learning needs of LDD pupils.
- Research new topic areas and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge.
- Undertake report writing and the award of internal grades as required
- Bachelor's degree in education with a specialization in mathematics, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Math Teacher.
- A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, flexible disposition.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.

TITLE: ENGLISH TEACHER
Primary Purpose:
The main responsibility of an English teacher is to help students understand English, speak it, and be able to write and read it. The duties will range from the preparation of course work, planning of classes, and the marking of work handed in.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assessing the students' progress (e.g. homework, exam grades, etc.)

- Assessing student needs and providing support or extra resources to struggling students as well as exceptional achievers.
- Using technology to improve lesson delivery and recordkeeping.
- Expanding teacher networks and participating in workshops, lectures, and other learning opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, or a similar discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Relevant certification or license may be required.
- A completed apprenticeship or teaching experience is recommended.
- A strong interest in literature and language.
- Compassion, understanding, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to multitask in a high-stress environment.
- Resilience and the ability to work with others.
