# Job Description This vacancy is part of NOV's Kuwaitization initiative. Job Summary Support coring operations at the wellsite. Operate basic coring systems unsupervised with the coring supervisor on location. Support basic wellsite core handling and processing unsupervised. Additional advanced wellsite services and customer/drilling contractor interaction. Operate basic wireline and/or conventional coring systems unsupervised with the coring supervisor on location. Support basic wellsite handling and processing unsupervised with the coring supervisor. Manage personnel and understand engineering principles. Attend morning meetings at the rig-site, DWOP, pre-spud meetings, and client meetings. Liaise with customers, drilling contractor personnel, and office regarding job requirements and readiness. Complete required documentation such as core logs, field reports, daily updates, rig work permits, safety meetings, inspection reports, certificates, service tickets, and team paperwork. Acquire additional information/data as requested by the office. Perform basic interpretation of NOV software (TerraSCOPE log, VibraSCOPE, hydraulics, BHA configurations, jar placement). Follow repair & maintenance workshop manuals to service coring tools. Select appropriate core head configurations and cutter sizes. Choose different inner tube types based on application. Complete mandatory core competencies and electives as per area requirements, including HSEQ, to qualify for promotion to coring supervisor. Responsibilities Complete workshop equipment preparation, pre-mobilization checks, pre-job checks, and job hazard analysis (JHA). Conduct measurements (OD, ID components), basic calculations (makeup torque, thermal expansion), and handle core system components during pick-up, lay-down, and recovery. Complete necessary documentation, including core logs and daily reports. Educational Qualification & Experience Required Engineering or Geology degree preferred. Experience in a similar operational position within oil and gas, specifically rig site related. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Location: Good Stuff Restaurant, Kuwait
Job Type: Full-time | Field-based
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician or Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves on-site repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting for our restaurant branches, as well as supporting our main engineer in overseeing ongoing new building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Visit and inspect branches regularly to handle on-site maintenance issues (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, basic equipment repair, etc.).
Perform preventive maintenance and emergency fixes as needed.
Coordinate with store managers to identify and resolve faults quickly.
Assist senior engineer with fieldwork and technical supervision of new construction or renovation sites.
Ensure maintenance work is done safely and efficiently with minimal disruption to store operations.
Keep records of completed jobs, materials used, and follow-ups required.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering (or similar).
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on field experience in maintenance or technical service work.
Strong knowledge of repair tools, equipment, and safety standards.
Willingness to travel between branches across Kuwait.
Ability to work independently with a proactive and practical attitude.
Valid driving license preferred.
