**Job Summary**

Utilizes CEMS database to develop strategies for maintenance efficiencies, develops processes to ensure compliance with equipment related government regulations, develops technical training courses for employees, and coordinates equipment refurbishment, upgrades, and modifications. Calculates future workloads across NWA/country group and plans manpower needs for supporting service delivery equipment. Typically requires an undergraduate degree and 10 years experience in mechanical maintenance function.

Maintenance Technician (Appliance/Equipment Repair)

PAE is seeking a Maintenance Technician (MT) for a position, pending contract award, performing ISS (Installation Support Services) functions at Ali Al Salem base and Cargo City in Kuwait. The MT will be responsible for repairing, diagnosing, assembling, adjusting, testing, and calibrating various equipment, appliances, furniture and other items as designated in PWS or by Program leadership within the base and Cargo City areas with knowledge of basic electrical principles. The MT will perform other duties as assigned by Site Manager or Program leadership IAW international, US, Air Force, PWS criteria and any other industry standards/criteria.
The MT shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.
**BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY**:
- Responsibilities include repair, diagnosing, assembling, adjusting, testing and calibrating various equipment including, but not limited to:
- Fitness Center equipment
- Appliances (popcorn machines, laundry machines, household appliances, dorm furnishings and other)
- Pool maintenance and repair
- Lodging maintenance (washers, dryers, refrigerators, mattresses, dehumidifiers, furniture and other items)
- Grounds maintenance equipment
- Mortuary equipment (appliances)
- Any other items as directed or as outlined in PWS
- All supporting documentation / reporting as required IAW international, US, Air Force, PWS criteria and any other industry standards/criteria
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- At least three (3) years previous maintenance of similar nature experience to include a basic knowledge of electrical principals, preferably on a US military installation with a similar mission/project of scope and nature.
- Experience in using basic tools or instruments.
- Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
- Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products.
- US Citizenship, a valid US or local driver's license and US passport.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
- Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
**OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
**EDUCATION**:
Associate degree or equivalent experience.

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time.
