About the job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waiter role to join the Banquet Operation team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait.
Your main duties will include:
- To offer guests of the outlet an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience.
- To anticipate and service of guests' requirements before requests is necessary.
- To be familiar with the beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.
- To complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all the setup according to standard.
- To present menus and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day.
- To be fully knowledgeable of and utilize the hotel's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing closing readings.
- To report any accident or guest complaint immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.
- To recognize and address potential disruptive or undesirable guests.
- To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- To break down any buffets, displays, or side stations when needed
- To keep the service area clean and tidy.
- To perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the line manager.
- To retrieve and stock all linen, chine, silver, glassware, and food and beverage items.
- To provide unobtrusive and professional service in accordance with our sequence.
- To provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the operation.
- Attends all the training subjects for the service colleagues and follows all rules and policies of the hotel
- To handle cash and credit card procedures according to the guidelines of the accounting department
Qualifications:
About you:
- Well-versed English communication and writing skills, talkative and dynamic, well-present and good-looking.
- Should have over one year of experience in a similar position.
- Work in a multicultural environment.
- 2 years minimum experience working in a multi-cultural / 5-star hotel environment.
- Ability to handle large restaurants and guest volumes on a daily basis.

**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly talented Assistant Spa Manager to join the team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait. The main purpose of this role is to assist the Manager in the planning, organizing and directing the overall operation and administration of the department, and driving the Spa to achieve its financial goals, provide a highly personalized service ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and adhering to the standard required by the Jumeirah brand, giving advice and treat guests on well-being techniques and treatments.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Spa, providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Assign priorities and main tasks to the team.
- Construct the Department Training Plan and conduct hands-on training for the team.
- Develop strong product quality measures.
- Assist in the preparation of the department budget and in achieving overall budget through planned marketing initiatives and controlling.
- Ensures consistent Spa experience development to ensure that innovation and uniqueness is maintained.
- Monitor and analyze the products and services of competitive Spas, to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Review all guest feedback results to implement improvements and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide management with creative ideas to project and enhance the image of the Spa.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring up-selling strategies to maximize Spa revenue.
- Liaise with Engineering department to ensure properly monitored repair works are efficiently delivered in the Spa to ensure guest satisfaction with the hotel products.
- Ensure proper inventories of all operating Spa equipment are conducted in line with audit standards in order to effectively manage cost.
- Participate in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan to ensure Spa operation is adequately represented.
- Continually research and develop new Spa experiences, treatments & products and liaise with suppliers in this regard to maintain innovation and originality.
- Ensure that the Spa team adhere to all hotel and company standards, business conduct and ethics, policies and procedures including Health, Hygiene, Emergency, Fire Prevention, Safety and maintain confidentiality for all guests and colleagues.
- To be an active role model to the entire Spa team ensuring the lines of communication are always open and regular meetings and coaching sessions are hosted.
- To assist in developing promotions and packages in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing and F&B departments.
- To be active in the support of other hotel departments where Spa and retail can provide assistance where appropriate.
- Perform any other duties that management may reasonably require.
**About You**:
In order to be considered for this role, you will have gained an internationally recognized qualification in the Spa Industry, or equivalent field, and you should have a minimum of 2 years leadership experience in a 5 star luxury Spa environment. Beauty therapy certificates CIBTAC, CEDISCO, ITEC, or similar proved training record, is an advantage, and experience in the Middle East is desirable.
