Job Overview Job Title: System Administrator Tier III Location: Camp Arifjan, Kuwait Job Responsibilities The System Administrator Tier III position shall be responsible for maintaining and operating a computer system and/or network. Detailed knowledge of deploying information systems, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Object (GPOs), and Domain Name Service (DNS). Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems Windows 2008(R2) and Windows Server 2003. Knowledge of system deployment, management, and troubleshooting of messaging protocols and operations with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 products. Knowledge of backup technologies specifically Symantec backup exec and NetApp SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP) manager utilities. Proficient with reviewing and deploying vendor updates for security patches. Knowledge and familiarity with storage technologies such as Storage Area Network (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS). Knowledge and familiarity with server performance tuning and monitoring tools. Proficient with server configuration and management tools (Microsoft System Center Operations manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)). Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks. Technical documentation skills. Knowledge and familiarity of action plans for planned and unplanned changes to the network infrastructure. Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools. Experience with technical documentation. Travel CONUS/OCONUS to support missions up to 10%. Minimum Qualifications Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable). Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required. A minmum of three (3) years related work experience working with Windows 2003 server and Exchange 2003 systems administration. A minmum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment. The following required certifications: Security+ and Network+. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, OR an Associates degree plus seven (7) years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.
