Responsibilities
Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Perform tasks related to MS Exchange emails, Active Directory (creating, changing, and deleting user accounts as requested).
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures; coordinate with third-party support or vendors to resolve issues.
Plan and implement hardware requirements and upgrades as needed.
Collaborate with team to resolve Systems/Storage/VMware issues and support project implementation with clients and vendors.
Follow up with vendors for critical issues related to new system installations and upgrades.
Update daily routine work or any critical issues to management.
Perform LUN creation, assignment, and connection with physical servers and VMware in EMC environments (Clarion and VMAX).
Perform backup/restore operations on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles as required.
Monitor and configure EMC Centera for virtual pools and profiles, and monitor/report issues using EMC ViPR and ViPR SRM tools.
Provide technical presentations and support local staff to improve their skills and expertise.
Other duties related to system administration as assigned.
Qualifications
University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent.
VMware DCV certification.
ITIL Foundation certification.
Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (preferred).
MCSE certification (preferred).
Required Experience
A minimum of 15 years overall experience in IT.
Experience installing, managing, and troubleshooting MS Exchange Server, MS Active Directory & GPO, DNS, DHCP, and SQL Server .
Experience with 2008/2003/7/XP and Windows 8.
Solid knowledge of applying OS patches and upgrades.
Solid knowledge of Windows Server clustering and application clustering.
Experience installing, configuring and managing VMware ESXi in a cluster environment.
Solid knowledge of vCenter Server with multiple datastores, HA, DRS, VMotion and SRM.
Solid knowledge and experience using monitoring tools such as HP IMC or SolarWinds and familiarity with data center management.
Familiarity with NAS/SAN storage management and LAN/WAN; experience with EMC Clarion, VMAX, Dell EMC Centera, and related storage technologies.
Knowledge of OpenText EMC ViPR and ViPR SRM; backup using Dell EMC Networker.
VDI desktop support experience.
Strong ability to perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization in virtualization and physical environments.

The Role You Will Be Responsible For- Designing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure.
- Monitoring system performance to ensure reliability and availability.
- Recommending infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and IT policies.
- Providing Level 2 support and troubleshooting as needed.
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience, preferably as a Network or Systems Engineer.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a team.
