Job Description

The Junior Controller position at our Human Resources Outsourcing agency in Al Kuwait offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in finance. This role is designed for recent graduates or those with limited experience who are eager to learn and grow within the finance sector. The Junior Controller will assist in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting senior financial staff in various tasks. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with a passion for numbers and a desire to contribute to the financial success of the organization. Responsibilities: 1. Ensuring the proper planning process (Budget and Forecast) respecting Region and Group timings. 2. Supporting Sales and Trade marketing departments with financial efficiency assessment and guidance. 3. Assisting in Month End close with responsibility for trade programs reporting, and accruals. 4. Assisting in Year End and other external audit. 5. Supporting in the management of the Trade Spend Preferred Candidate: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. Willingness to learn and adapt to new financial systems. Basic understanding of accounting principles. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Positive attitude and a proactive approach to work. Commitment to professional development and growth in finance. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. Strong analytical skills for data interpretation. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Our client is a global MNC with its corporate HQ based in Kuwait. With operations spanning both the Middle East and Europe, they are currently seeking an internationally minded professional to take responsibility for their Group Financial Reporting.

The role will report to the Group CFO and be responsible for consolidating financial statements, periodical financial reporting, supervising the function in Kuwait, and remotely overseeing the function in international locations. This is a senior position that involves managing relationships at a corporate level as well as leading a team of capable and technically skilled finance staff.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  1. Qualified Accountant with 8-10 years of PQE
  2. Strong technical experience in IFRS, Statutory Reporting, and Consolidations
  3. Ideally experience in F&B, FMCG, or Retail sectors
  4. Must be currently based in either the GCC or UK. Candidates outside these locations will NOT be shortlisted
