Established in 2005, Gulf British Academy is a BSO-accredited school seeking a qualified and skilled Female PE Teacher to join our team of specialists across Key Stages 2/3 and 4.

- Recent UK teaching experience or international experience within a British curriculum-based, BSO-accredited school.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and build good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and/or police check.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Gmail, shared drives, forms, etc).
- Your degree subject is in Physical Education.
- Swimming teaching experience to assist the Swimming Instructor as and when required.
- Familiarity with initiatives such as Philosophy for Children and Growth Mindset.
- Experience in leading netball and volleyball teams.

**REPORTS TO: PHYSICAL EDUCATION HOD**
**Primary Purpose**:
Physical education (PE) teachers organize games and challenges that promote physical activity among children and young adults from kindergarten to high school. Their goal is to develop motor skills and physical development among younger children and proper exercise and eating habits among older children.
**Responsibilities**:
- Measure student progress to encourage the mastery of school district/state/national standards
- Celebrate individual and collective accomplishments by teaching the importance of self-improvement
- Create appealing lessons that implement a variety of methodologies
- Cultivate student awareness and ownership of personal performance
- Design, plan and implement physical education lessons based on school district/state/national standards
- Encourage teamwork to set collective and personal development goals
- Ensure accommodations and modifications are made for the growth and development of all students
- Ensure that the physical education environment is clean, safe, and constructive for all students
- Teach knowledge and skills in physical fitness, rhythms and dance, health education, and individual, dual, and team sports
