Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Marine Site Engineer on a 6-Month Contract to oversee critical marine construction activities for a high-profile project in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine piling, AtoNS installations, and contractor coordination, ensuring technical compliance, quality, and safety standards are met.

The Marine Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising marine construction activities, ensuring technical compliance, quality control, and contractor performance on-site. This role also involves close coordination with stakeholders and enforcing HSE standards to mitigate risks and maintain project integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contractor Supervision & Technical Oversight

• Review and approve contractor-submitted method statements, risk assessments, and work plans.
• Ensure all marine construction (pile driving, beacon installations, diving ops) aligns with project specifications and project timelines.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify workmanship, material quality, and HSE compliance.

2. Progress & Quality Control

• Monitor contractor progress against the project schedule and highlight deviations.
• Witness and document load tests, Welding and Painting inspections, and cathodic protection checks.
• Maintain detailed records (photos, logs, as-built reports) for client deliverables.

3. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise between the contractor, client, and third-party to resolve technical issues.
• Attend progress meetings and provide actionable updates to the UAE-based Project Manager.
• Enforce PPE, permit-to-work systems, and marine safety protocols.
• Identify and escalate non-conformities or safety violations promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in Civil / Marine/ Mechanical/Structural Engineering.
• OSHA/NEBOSH, IMCA diving safety awareness, or PMP Certifications (Preferred)
• 5+ years in marine construction (piling, AtoNS systems, offshore structures).
• Proven experience working with/for contractors on execution-heavy projects.
• Familiarity with marine equipment (crane barges, vibro hammers, diving ops).
• Interpretation of marine drawings, BOQs, and GPS survey data.
• Knowledge of welding standards (AWS/ISO), corrosion protection, and pile load testing / Painting.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

Job Location: Kuwait and other GCC Sites (as and when required to travel to project site and client offices)

We are seeking a qualified Petroleum Engineer for a full-time position in Al-Kuwait. Mechanical Engineer performs engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput
2. Performs design work for new construction, renovations and improvement projects for real property facilities
3. Interprets and adapts traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards
4. Responsible for selected construction inspections, quality control and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers
5. Develops cost estimates and time schedules, Reviews and analyzes preliminary and final designs, plans and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy
6. Prepares necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets and status reports and prepares final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractors
7. Prepares Architect and Engineer (A&E) Statements of Work (SOW), serves as a technical representative for negotiation and/or administration of contracts
8. Monitors and/or manages projects for new construction, renovations and improvements to real property facilities, utilizing a professional knowledge of engineering
9. Complies with health, safety and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment
10. Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
11. Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
12. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Mechanical Engineering degree required; licensed mechanical engineer preferred.
2. Must have a minimum of four (4) years of design experience and be capable of providing mechanical design service including determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, and exterior plumbing design.
3. Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2012 or later.
4. Experience in the use of documents relating to the development of projects, contracting, and construction is necessary
5. Ability to travel domestically and internationally
6. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Excellent communications, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
2. Able to provide mechanical design service including determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, and interior plumbing design
3. Working knowledge of Design Review, Project Mobilization, Quality Compliance, QA, Safety, Project Controls, and Capture Management
4. Proficient in AutoCAD 2009 or later, and use AutoCAD to create presentable and accurate facility and infrastructure plans for concept and statement of work requirements for project execution
5. Computer literate; can use Microsoft Office and Project, etc
