Job Summary

The Graphic Design Manager will be responsible for leading the creative direction and execution of all design-related projects within the school. Key Responsibilities:

This challenging position of Store Communication & Interior Design manager calls for a talented person who can lead and inspire a team. Your task is to maximise the impact of the IKEA store as a retail medium that converts visitors into satisfied customers, and stimulates repeated visits by presenting the IKEA range in a way that is attractive and relevant to the local market. You do this through your deep knowledge and passion for peoples’ life at home and expert home furnishing competence.

- Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Using the richness of the IKEA product range to show many relevant, functional, beautiful, sustainable and affordable solutions in different distinct styles.
- Visualising the uniqueness of the IKEA offer to distance us from the competition.
- Securing the use of the interior design layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store.
- Recruiting, developing and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive and honest two-way feedback.
- Lead and inspire the store Com&In team to use knowledge of IKEA home furnishing and people's life at home to grow the business.
- Secure sales and margin targets for the store with the commercial team.
- Partner with the store manager to stimulate and increase interest in home furnishing for all co-workers in the store.
- Take an active part in creating the IKEA store business plan and use the country business plan.
- Be the creative leader by initiating and facilitating workshops to generate creative directions.
- Secure vitality and seasonality in the store by creating and implementing a store commercial calendar together with the store management team.
- Secure with the management team all reviews for the unit (Commercial, Concept, Growth reviews)
- Contribute with knowledge of people's life at home and consumer shopping behaviour in the creation and implementation of the store business plan.
- Ensure budget control and cost consciousness.
- Assure that systems and methods provided in the IKEA concept documentation are implemented in areas of responsibilities.
- Lead and challenge the Com&In team to constantly take actions that identify commercial opportunities both in the short
- and long term.

**Qualification**
- A design-based educational qualification and a solid background of working in a design-oriented role.
- Strong passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home.
- Acting as an inspiring and motivating leader who can engage people fully in reaching goals, generating growth and long-term profitability.
- Setting and implementing action plans and budgets.
