Minimum Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in Oil or Chemical Industries, projects and design work.
- Prepares feasibility studies, justification reports, detailed designs, technical specifications and follows-up all activities related to Mechanical Engineering in projects for Local Marketing Petroleum Depots, Pipeline Systems, Filling Stations and Carwash Systems.
- Prepares detailed Mechanical Design Engineering Drawings for all LM projects including tender documents for execution of Mechanical Works.
- Reviews customer design / drawing for installation of Fuel Storage tanks / new Petrol Filling Stations for approval.

Responsible for leading and monitoring all mechanical engineering activities for internal projects at Kuwait Steel. Ensure that mechanical engineering project design is carried out within the projects’ scope of work and project parameters for schedule, cost, and quality, to manage all aspects of mechanical engineering design within the Projects and Engineering and Facilities Management Department.
Duties may include but will not be limited to:
- Evaluate internal project requests from Kuwait Steel clients (SMP, RM1, RM2, LDP, and Yard 2) to determine the scope of work, project feasibility, and resource requirements.
- Manage and develop the scope of work phase after project feasibility has been confirmed and the job request converted to a service request to external contractors.

- Production and approval of PFDs, EFDs, MSDs, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Data Sheets, calculations and system modelling and simulation.

- Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
Safety - Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
