AUM College of Engineering and Technology is recruiting full-time faculty members as Laboratory Instructors for its Computer Engineering Department to start from Spring/Fall Semester 2025.
Job Requirements- A Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Proficiency in programming using Python, C, and/or Java.
- Ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable skills in oral and written English, the language of instruction and communication on campus.
- Excellent publication records are a plus.
- Experience in academic or industry is a plus.
- Participation in Artificial Intelligence projects or competitions is a plus.
Faculty members are engaged in teaching, services, research and professional development tasks.
Successful candidates are expected to:
- Prepare labs manuals and syllabi.
- Prepare experiments and test them.
- Deliver laboratory sessions, including pre-laboratory presentations.
- Supervise and assist students in all aspects related to the labs and the related courses.
- Assess students’ performance using the assessment tools as described in the Labs’ syllabi (quizzes, presentations, lab reports, exams, etc.).
- Strive to increase teaching effectiveness through the application of appropriate teaching and learning strategies.
- Keep record of students’ attendance.
- Prepare laboratory course portfolios for the labs by the end of each semester.
- Document information by maintaining logs and equipment record books.
- Place orders for the necessary equipment and specimens.

Position Summary
The College of Engineering at IUK seeks candidates for an assistant/associate professor position to teach Computer Engineering courses. Faculty members will teach introductory-level courses in Computer Engineering for science and engineering majors, as well as non-science majors. In addition to teaching, successful candidates are expected to maintain significant scholarly work and professional services. The successful candidate will contribute to developing an outcome-based, student-focused curriculum.
The primary role of faculty members at IUK is to promote high-quality teaching, research, and services. They should collaborate with the Head of Department, College's Dean, and colleagues to achieve the department's and College's mission, mentor junior colleagues and teaching assistants, and support the department and the University with several administrative and academic services.
In addition to teaching, faculty members are expected to maintain office hours, provide advisement for students, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to university professional development activities.
Responsibilities:
- Teach different courses according to specialty and experience.
- Promote innovation in teaching by introducing new methodologies and strategies.
- Engage with students in and out of the classroom.
- Promote research activities and other creative work at IUK, including publishing in indexed peer-reviewed publications.
- Mentor new colleagues and teaching assistants.
- Support the mission of the Department and College at IUK by following the set curriculum and working towards achieving program objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Follow university bylaws and regulations and promote the institutional environment.
- Commit to teaching schedules, office hours, preparation, service, and professional development.
- Provide academic support to other colleagues in the department.
- Participate in College's and University's events and support collegiality.
- Support the College and University in organizing seminars, international conferences, and faculty events.
- Serve on College's and university's committees as needed.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of university teaching experience at a university/college level.
- Proven experience in using different learning management systems and in adopting e-learning teaching strategies.
- Experience demonstrating an understanding of a multicultural academic environment, including the needs of students with special needs.
- Experience with various instructional methodologies.

AIU invites applicants for Part-time Faculty appointments with expertise in Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering.

Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field Excellent communication skills in English Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
The ideal candidate is an innovative professional who leverages professional trends and technologies to deliver relevant classroom experiences. The successful candidate will be a leader and current, active member of the ECE field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in:
Digital Logic Design Control Systems Internet of Things Cyber-Physical Systems Programmable Controllers Image Processing and Robot Vision Senior design projects
The candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. The candidate will also be expected to develop research programs, supervise undergraduate students, and make contributions to both school and university service. Evidence of a strong commitment to both teaching and research is required.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level related to their specific expertise within the professional ECE curriculum. Also, we expect to play an active role in the leadership in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, mentoring, and start-ups. Applicants who diversify our curriculum and with experience enhancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment are strongly encouraged to apply.
